Our Terms and Conditions

Our Information Pack:

It consists of the fully detailed itinerary, route details, local accommodation from b&b to best hotels, local facilities, and leisure attractions around the area. This is posted to all bookers, using Royal Mail.  However, please read this before you book.

What Do We Need From You:

Please ensure we have your full postal address, phone number, mobile number and email address. Remember to advise us if anything changes.

Where Is It:

One to One Courses are held at our Curry Club Office and kitchen in Haslemere, Surrey. Saturday Morning Group Courses are held at  Grayshott, Surrey. We email bookers route information a few days prior to the date.

One to One Courses: The doors open at 09.50m. Please arrive by 10am. We will have coffee and tea with biscuits waiting for you. There is free parking on site. If you are going to be late (even a little late, please telephone 01428 658327. Providing you ring to advise us how late you will be, we will do our very best to fit your course into the time slot. If we do over-run to achieve this and we are available to do so, we will require an additional sum of £40.00 per hour (or part thereof). Saturday Morning Group Courses:  Doors open at 9.45am. If you arrive early there are several coffee shops and cafes in the town.

What to Bring:

Just wear comfortable casual clothes. One to One Courses: You'll be on your feet, so trainers would be best.

Guests and Children:

One to One Courses: The price quoted is for one person.  Most people like to bring a friend/partner and there is no increase in the price if you wish to do this. You may wish to bring a third person. Space is limited and the course is no longer one-to-one, but we can and do offer this option, and we supply more food for your tastings and takeaway. Our charge for this is an extra £75 for the third person. It impractical to go beyond three persons. There is no provision for non-paying guests. A child over the age of 11 is very welcome, providing he or she is really keen on cooking. However, it is quite hard work for such a young age. If you wish to bring a child over 11 as your guest, please advise us. We regret we have no facilities for children to attend as non-participators, nor for any child under the age of 11.   Saturday Morning Group Courses:  The price quoted is for one person.  If you wish to bring a friend(s), please ring or email to check and subject to availability we will charge the rate stated per person.  There is no provision for non-paying guests.  The Group Course is unsuitable for young children.

One to One Courses: If you bring suitable takeaway containers, you are welcome to take away all the food that you make during your Cookery Course. The best containers are plastic lidded microwavable Tupperware-style, at around 1 litre size and you'll need eight of these. We do stock plastic food containers, priced at £2.00 each. It is a good idea to bring a chill box or bag to hold everything safetly in the car, to prevent spillages. Saturday Morning Group Courses:  You get a tasting so there is no takeaway.

Books and Equipment:

Clients have asked whether they can purchase items as used on the course. So, by popular demand, we offer a wide selection of spices, daba trays (spice containers), cooking equipment and cookery books. We accept Debit and Credit Cards.

There are several good places to stay at various price points.  Details are in our info pack (see above).

If you book directly with us, we require full payment at that time. If your booking is via an Activity Company, the first we know that you have booked, is when you contact us. We can only invoice them at that point. Payment can take several weeks. In the unlikely event that the Activity Company concerned ceases to trade before we are paid, our contract with you is void. However, if you paid by Debit or Credit Card, this is recoverable from your card company. Should you wish to pay us directly, we will be happy to do the course with you.

If your course was booked directly with us and paid by Debit or Credit Card, we will make your refund via the Debit/Credit Card used.
