UNITING THE ASIAN FOOD INDUSTRY

The newly formed Asian Catering Federation bring together organisations and personnel within the Asian food industry and works in tandem with the Federation of Bangladeshi Caterers UK, the Chinese Takeway Association UK and the Malaysian Resaurant Association.

VISION OF ASIAN CATERING ASSOCIATION

The Asian Catering Federation will strive to deliver real reurns for our members within the Asian catering industry, help them to find financial success, achieve excellence, and build customer loyalty. For the Asian food industry, we aim to unite Asian caterers on one platform; campaign for greater recognition; achieve members' common goals through partnerships with government and other organisations; provide help with training, and create regarding careeers in Asian catering.

 MISSION STATEMENT

In order to achieve the vision of Asian Catering Federation, the organisation and its members are committed to: (1) Promote the interest of Asian catering sector in the UK and Europe. (2) Campaign for the rights and recognition of the industry. (3) Maintain and develop quality cuisines and standards in the Asian catering industry. (4) Promote a healthier asian cuisine through workshops, seminars and networking events. (5) Encourage entrepreneurship amongst young Asian cateres. (6) Organise events, conferences, seminars and mission to inform the wider community of the work of the organistaion. (7) Develop learning, training and apprenticeships, setting professional standards in conjunction with our partners. (8) Open regional offices and a Regional Committee in Europe to unite the Asian catering industry and promote Asian food across the continent. (9) Oversee awards schemes including the 'Asian Curry and Asian Food Awards,' to provide incentives and recognise excellence and achievement in the Asian food industry. (10) Lobby and work with the UK government, the European Parliament for betterment of the asian catering industry.

7.40pm : Mr Pat Chapman - Founder of the Curry Club and Judge of the Asian Curry Awards 2012 - Chef Presentation Award
