Cookery Course Terms of Business

Saturday Morning Curry Cookery Demonstration
Terms of Business

Please read this information carefully.  It is sent to all bookers of this course.

Details correct at  August 2008.   
We reserve the right to make minor changes to detail to the course itself.

What to bring
Please bring your voucher if you have one, or a copy of our confirmation letter to you.
Just wear comfortable casual clothes. 

Guests and Children
On this course  you will be in a  group, maximum size 18. If you wish to bring a guest(s) with you, we make the following charges: £65 for the first person you bring and £60 for any further guests.  Please notify us at the earliest opportunity if you wish to bring someone, and we will advise whether we have the space. A child over the age of 11 would be acceptable providing he or she is really keen on cooking, but it is quite hard work for such a young age. If you wish to bring a child over 11 as you guest please advise us.  We regret we have no facilities for guests or children to attend as non-participators, nor for any children under 11.

The Course
Whilst the course will always be c3 hours, we reserve the right to change small details of the course if required.  We have books and items as used in the course for sale and we accept credit/debit cards. The course is not hands-on.  If you want a one-to-one hands-on course with just yourself and one guest of your choice, you can upgrade by ringing Pat on 01428 658327 at the earliest opportunity. (see date-change notes below).

Where is the course is held?  
At an Indian Restaurant in Haslemere.  

Arrival
Start time is 10am. Finish around 1pm.
Please arrive at 10am prompt please.   Doors open at 0945 prompt and there is ample parking place on the streets around. We regret we cannot open earlier because the cleaners need to work and we need to set up. 
You’ll finish at around 1pm.  If you are likely to be late, (even a bit late) please phone 07808 922635.  Out of courtesy to the group we will try to start on time. 

How to get there
Bookers are sent full details of the route by road and rail.
 
What if I arrive early
To allow us time to set up and the cleaners to finish, our doors do not open until 0945 prompt.  If you arrive early enough, bookers are sent full details of where you can get a full English breakfast nearby.

Accommodation
There are several good places to stay nearby at various price points. Bookers are sent full details.

What if my voucher is out of date.
If you have booked directly with us -please ring Pat Chapman on 01428 658327 or e-mail him on pat@patchapman.co.uk.  We reserve the right to make a supplementary charge to extend a voucher.
If you purchased your voucher via an activity company, you must deal with your voucher company before you contact us.

What if I need to change the date?
More than 28 days notice: If we are notified by e-mail or land mail in this period that you need to change the date, with 28 or more days notice we will agree a new date at no charge.
Between 27 and 15 days: If we are notified in this period by e-mail or land mail, we will agree a new date, and if we can resell your place(s) there will be no charge.  If we cannot, we will make a £30 per person charge and we will agree a new date. 

14 days or less:  With 14 or less days notice we regret we cannot offer a refund or date change.
All date change requirements must be e-mailed or mailed to us as notification.

No attendance on the day:  We regret your entire fee will be non-returnable.

In the highly unlikely event that we have to ask you to change date, we will offer you a further date and will give you a small compensation in the form of goods, books, video etc. or you can have a full refund.

Cancellation Policy 
29 days notice or more:   If you have booked directly with us and want to cancel outright,  we will  refund your money, less £10 admin fee if we are notified by 29 days prior by e-mail or land mail. If you purchased your voucher via an activity company and wish to cancel outright, you must deal with your voucher company about refunds, at least 29 days prior to the booking, and we will abide by their decision.  We will need notification of your intentions by e-mail or land mail.

28 days notice or less:   If you have booked directly with us we regret we cannot offer a refund.

Refunds
If your course was
booked directly with us and paid by credit card we will make your refund via the credit/ debit card used.  If your course was booked directly with us and paid by cheque or cash we will make your refund by cheque. We make a £10 admin charge for all refunds.
If your course was booked with an events company you must deal with them re refunds.
