Dominique's Snaps - Brunton Boatyard Hotel, Cochin

Left and Right: The Brunton Boatyard Hotel, a Victorian building, is well camouflaged, with mature planting.

Left and Right: The hotels gardens are beautifully planted with flowering trees and shrubs, which cool the building and provide welcome shade for residence who seek peace and quite to read.

Left and Right: The Colonial styled dining room, and Armory Bar, faces the water, so enjoys wonderful views and a sea breeze.

Left and Right: Pat and and a very sunburnt Dominique enjoy a delicious late lunch of Masala Dosa, Sambar, Green Coconut Chutney and Red Coconut Chutney. All washed down with a Kingfisher Beer for Pat and a Gimlet for Dominique (it was an early start!)

Left: The rooms, all with private terrace and sea views. Right: This path leads to the swimming pool.

Left: The swimming pool, gardens and terrace, all with the sea views. Right: Brunton Boatyard Hotel enjoys a private boat jetty, where our boatman collected us.

Left: Our boatman, speeds us back to the Taj Malabar Hotel. Right: Grand residencies line the waterways.

Left and Right: As we motored away, we passed a very sorry looking Catamaran, which had been blown in by the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami and abandoned.
